  • Fall Lunch at Northlands Golf Course
    Thursday, October 22, 2009

As I've been working my way through the stores and recreation spots within walking distance of Nature’s Cove, I discovered the lunch menu at the Clubhouse Restaurant at Northlands Golf Course. There I was, sitting on the restaurant patio, overlooking the course and enjoying a Quesadilla special while watching golfers tee off and complete their rounds below. To say that it was a beautiful day and a peaceful setting is an understatement. And knowing that this - the only 18-hole, fully public course on the North Shore - is within walking distance from Nature's Cove is such a bonus.

Enjoy the pictures...pretty nice for October!

  • Al’s Wednesday Night Ride
    Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Just had the first Wed night ride of the season, with only three local riders up for the roll. We got typical North Shore conditions - slippery and wet. Ooooh ya. After work, we nailed it (just as the skies were clearing) out to Bridle Path by 7:30PM. Did Dik's loop, bottom of Ned's, bottle top, Fisherman's, back to Bridle then had some nice cold beers at Woody's. And, to make it even better, the trails are in great shape thanks to the crew at NSMB.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of our crew riding the North Shore trails (the mild ones) on Wednesday nights. Doesn't get any better....

  • Stefen's Construction Update
    Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Latest news on the building: the roof structure is built! Last week, we craned in the last beam components and celebrated with pizza and the framing crew on a successful finish. But the work continues. The local cedar fascia and trim arrived this week, and our low-emission, high-performance windows are expected any day now. The urea- formaldehyde-free cabinets are being built as we speak, and the envelope inspections are underway so we can provide owners with worry- free protection. And the other good news is that we're on schedule for a spring completion. It won't be long now....
